FactHeck helps you check whether a viral video, image, or social-media post is true — and whether it was made by AI — in seconds.
Misinformation spreads fastest on short-form video and social posts, where claims are made quickly and rarely sourced. FactHeck takes a link to a TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or X post and breaks it down: it identifies the specific factual claims being made, checks each one against independent evidence, and gives you a clear, sourced verdict. It can also flag whether an image or video looks AI-generated.
Every check runs through a transparent five-stage pipeline — ingest the post, transcribe it, extract the claims, gather evidence, and rate each claim with its sources. We explain the whole process, our rating scale, and the limits of the approach in our methodology.
FactHeck is built and operated by SAFEGUARDAI (MIRA) LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom (483 Green Lanes, London, N13 4BS). We are independent: our verdicts follow the evidence and are not influenced by the people, brands, or platforms involved in a claim.
We work to be accurate and we are open when we are not. If you spot a mistake, our corrections policy explains how to report it and how we handle it.
